I Did It

I finally put my crafts out in public.  I took a lot of my stuff to K’s Curvy Closet in Copperas Cove two weeks ago.  I don’t know if anything has sold.  I’m scared to ask.  With me it’s baby steps – itsy bitsy baby steps so that I don’t totally come apart with disappointment.

In the meantime I’ve been working 50 hours a week, trying to teach Sophie to stop and come to me on the run (it’s a waste of time and energy on both of us), making new things out of old, and trying to stay out of the heat.

It’s been 90+ degrees and the heat index has been around 105.  The plants and grass have required much more water than it did last year.  Being 8″ below the normal rain fall may have something to do with that.  If we want to get any walking, mowing, or anything else done before it gets hot we better get out there by 6:30am.  After that it’s hot, muggy , sweaty and sticky.

I’m adding a few photos of things I’ve been working on.  One is an old blue box that now serves as a doll case.  We also had an old globe with no stand.  I took an old table leg and made one.  The last one is of a fairy root.  I’ve not ignored you.  I do want to share what I’ve doing, so here you go.

Thanks so much for hanging in there with me.  I hope you have a great week.  Count your blessings and be sure to tell those you love that you love them.  Tomorrow is not promised.
